UNLUCKY travellers seeking a quick trip from Ironforge to Stormwind are seeking medical treatment for their ankles, after a series of TERRIFYING rat attacks, the Quill reports.
Often seen as a testament to gnomish engineering and an indispensable link between the two capital cities, the Deeprun Tram was a scene of horror on Friday morning as a particularly massive rat attacked departing travellers at the Stormwind City station.
The once humble rat – a common critter in Stormwind and in particular Old Town – has clearly got a burst of confidence from somewhere, thinking it can bother Alliance citizens without us saying something about it!
“It was a bloodbath.” Our shook-up source told of the rabid rodent, sweeping the station in a frenzy of bites and scratches. “One woman fainted, another almost fell off the tram! I’m seeking damages against that weird gnome who likes rats immediately – it must be his fault!”
The Deeprun Tram, a vital link for business and commerce with both dwarven and human allies, has often been rumoured to house ILLEGAL activity within its depths – potentially being the location of a grotty, underground pub. It’s no wonder then that this sort of shady, brawling epicentre of depravity must have also influenced the local rats.
